Creating Safety and Security in Your Relationship
My approach to couple’s therapy is based on Dr. Stan Tatkin’s PACT modality, which addresses relational issues from their roots, thus shorten the overall length of therapy.
Are you frustrated with your partner? Is your relationship no longer the same and you are at a loss of what to do? Do things escalate out of nowhere? 70% to 93% of communication is non-verbal. In couple's sessions, one of the main focuses is to notice moment to moment shifts in facial and body expressions, so that we can slow down and really drive the underlying problems. By understanding not only why your partner acts the way they do, but also what what they genuinely need, you can restore intimacy and strengthen security. I aim to create a safe place to discuss difficult topics as well as facilitating deeper vulnerability.
In my sessions, you and your partner will learn how to de-escalate, what are healthy relating patterns, and how to understand the ways your partner’s past informs their current ways of feeling.
