We have the right to feel safe in the world, and we need satisfying relationships to maintain emotional health. When we don’t get our social needs met through our partner or others, we feel distress to either motivate us to connect, or to deter us from being hurt.

Do you struggle with relating? Do you feel like you want to become more emotionally intelligent? Did you grow up in an environment where religion, culture, family did not allow you to be who you are? Are people you grew up with incredibly difficult to connect to as an adult? Commonly, we reflect upon our past, and see the harm and violence being done to each other, and we develop a drive to stop that cycle. It takes incredible courage to challenge our traumas and become the person that relate healthily. I am here to support you on that journey, and together we will grief what is lost, and rebuild who you are.

If you are in a relationship, you may find relating difficult and lack ease. My approach focuses on building emotional resiliency, practicing how to connect with your partner, how to have a good fight, and self-compassion. In therapy, I draw from the works of Stan Tatkin, Melissa Walker, and others with a foundation on contemplative psychotherapy with a somatic approach.
